How You Can Join The Movement
Mobile Food Shelf
Lifegate Services Food Shelf accepts fresh produce, shelf stable and canned items (unexpired), toiletries, and blankets for emergency situations. Organizations can help support the food shelf by holding food drives during special events or at specific times of the year.
Operational Sustaining Donor Partners
Organizations and individuals can make regular donations to pay for ongoing operational costs associated with running the food shelf. These costs include rent, insurance, transportation, utilities, etc.
Individual Sustaining Donor Partners
The food shelf can purchase healthy foods at wholesale prices through various distributors at discount prices. With these discounts, the food shelf can stretch a cash donation further than an individual who chooses to
donate food items. This means more healthy food for more people in need. Sustaining gifts can be scheduled for deduction automatically from your checking account or credit card.
- Remember us in your estate planning. It’s easy to make Lifegate Services a beneficiary of your will, trust, retirement account plan, or life insurance policy. Lifegate Services Federal Tax ID number is: 47-1965877.
- Food and Monetary Donations – You can write off both monetary and food donations on your taxes. When you make a donation of food, you usually have to deduct only the price that you paid for it. Be sure to visit with your tax accountant for details.
- When you donate food you will be given a receipt documenting your donation. Your receipt will have the name of the charity, the date of the donation, a description of what you donated and whether you received anything in return for your donation.
