Tax Info
LifeGate Services is a tax-exempt 501(C)(3) Non-Profit Organization (Federal Tax ID#: 47-1965877).
You can write off both monetary and food donations on your taxes. When you make a donation of food, you usually have to deduct only the price that you paid for it. Be sure to visit with your tax accountant for details.
When you donate, you will be issued a receipt documenting your donation. Your receipt will have the name of the charity, the date of the donation, a description of what you donated, and whether you received anything in return for your donation.
